Treat the Symptoms

This is my first piece for Donna Braggins' class. It is not completely done yet. I wanted to try something with the border but can't decide what yet...any suggestions? I was thinking just a solid colour all the way around...or make it look like tile, to repeat the pattern of the background...but maybe this will make it too busy? I dunno...

Hey dude, just found your art through some random internet clicking. Totally digging it all!
Tiles around the border would work out I think. Maybe even through in the little depth markers ( 6 ft, 5, ft, etc.) to boot.
Killer!

Good idea, I like the idea of the depth markers...maybe split the colour at the waterline...
Haha! Thanks Vicki.

well, it's for donna's project that is supposed to explain how we work as illustrators. Alot of my work has been really satire based this year, so the piece is talking about fixing a small problem (the character is unable to swim, so he wears a diving helmet to not drown), instead of finding a solution (learning how to actually swim). Does that make sense? It doesn't to me right now, but it's almost 3 am....
